Our therapy dog Ringo, (pictured above) is able to support students in schools.

There are students who have had traumatic experiences or are still living in traumatic situations. Typically many of these students are having trouble maintaining engagement in learning activities at school.

K9s4Kidz offers are structured programme for students of working with Ringo the therapy dog. Ringo will be available to support students who may be anxious about being at school or in the classroom. Throughout the structured programme the dog will support the student to become “calm” so that they can engage in specific discussion regarding their self regulation. This enables the student to move into a “space for learning”.

The programme with Ringo is available to students from Year 1 - Year 10 in schools. Older students or adults can have a customized programme through negotiation.
